Birth and Achievements of SpaceX
"What , Why , When ?". It's a natural tendency of human to explore. From the past centuries to this advanced 21st century , humans are always curious about the truth "Beyond Earth". The curiosity to explore and develop has made us achieve an indistinguishable form of power i.e. Technology. From just viewing planets to colonize it ,we have evolved. Now we are in an era of Space Race .
Idea to Colonize Mars !
With an idea to colonize Mars , the journey of SpaceX begun . With a goal to reduce space transportation cost to enable colonization of Mars The Space Exploration Technology Corp.(trading name SpaceX) was founded by visionary man Elon Musk in the year 2002. Without any helping hand, and a fund for just 3 test launches the company started. The idea was not just to launch rocket to orbit but to make it come back Earth . But starting something big is not quite easy as seen. The 1st launch failed with a fire in the main engine and the 2nd and 3rd launch failed respectively after the rocket off-routed. This make SpaceX nearly bankrupted and questioned if it could thrive further. But a crazy and passionate man never stops. He just made a crazy announcement about the 4th and last launch within a couple of month.
With a high risk appetite , putting all his property on sell he invested for the last launch . On Sept 29, 2008 SpaceX fires its Falcon1 dummy payload and created history. SpaceX became the only company in the world to successfully develop and launch a re-usable rocket into orbit and make it come back to Earth.
The idea to colonize Mars came into life after the success of a low cost reusable rocket of SpaceX. With this achievement SpaceX won a $1.5 billion deal with NASA and its further journey begins.

Achievements of SpaceX
SpaceX has brought a breakthrough in space technology with its unbelievable achievements . It envisions of making Sci-Fi Technologies real.
- SpaceX's achievements include the first privately funded liquid-propellant rocket to reach orbit (Falcon 1 in 2008) .
- The first private company to successfully launch, orbit, and recover a spacecraft (Dragon in 2010).
- The first private company to send a spacecraft to the International Space Station (Dragon in 2012).
- The first propulsive landing for an orbital rocket (Falcon 9 in 2015).
- In April 2016, with the launch of CRS-8, SpaceX successfully vertically landed the first stage on an ocean drone ship landing platform. In May 2016, in another first, SpaceX again landed the first stage, but during a significantly more energetic geostationary transfer orbit mission.
- In September 2016, Musk unveiled the Interplanetary Transport System—subsequently renamed Starship.
- The first reuse of an orbital rocket (Falcon 9 in 2017).
